Le Parfum Astrologique
MAISON DOUZE is a Parisian Astrological Perfume Maison. The name comes from the XII house of the zodiac, which is the domain of the divine, the cosmic, the hidden that remains to be revealed and what we must sacrifice.
MAISON DOUZE's desire is to reconnect with the very etymology of the word perfume, per fumen: through smoke.
Indeed, in antiquity, priests sacrificed plants, resins or animals by burning them. The smoke rising to the sky was a way of communicating with the gods (themselves associated with the stars and constellations of the zodiac!). The interpretation of the smoke, its aspect and its movement was supposed to inform about the will of the gods and the future of men.
MAISON DOUZE is built on this association between the olfactory and the cosmic, this mystical and divinatory use of perfume.
Today more and more of us believe in the impalpable but real influence of the Stars. Who has not suffered from insomnia on a full moon night or felt their life reborn at sunrise? Hasn't "Mercury retrograde" become the bane of social networks, with its share of misunderstandings and small hassles? Who hasn't consulted the stars and oracles to see more clearly in their life?
At the same time, we increasingly believe in the sometimes therapeutic, sometimes magical power of scents and aromas. The violet evokes romantic poetry, the oud literally makes "goat" with its warm, fecal notes. Beyond a good smell, perfume is a real olfactory talisman, with healing, protective and transformative power.

On touche à l’âme à travers le parfum.MAISON DOUZE voluntarily breaks with the classic approach based on the ingredient: "I like the rose". The perfumes are voluntarily complex, because they express the personality of each sign.
You will not necessarily wear the perfume of your sign, but of the sign whose qualities you borrow in order to better achieve your happiness.
Through MAISON DOUZE, Samer Zakharia wanted to express and combine his two passions, perfume and astrology, and deliver the first high-end Maison of Astrological Perfume. Beyond their quality or originality, these fragrances are true olfactory concentrates of cosmic energy intended to help each person to transform, transcend and fulfill their desires.
In order to be able to translate the signs into perfume, the creator relied on 12 real people whom he wished to keep anonymous from those around him. Each of these 12 avatars gave him a moment, a digest of life which perfectly illustrates the essence of the sign and which at the same time lends itself to a clear olfactory transcription.
Fragrances all have a character of evidence, they strike because they recall or evoke something immediately. Behind this false simplicity hides a complex construction (40+ notes) and real olfactory paradoxes.
