L’ALCHÉMILLE, PLANTE INNOVANTE
The lady's mantle, or alchemilla vulgarisis the plant of alchemists and women.
Also called the mantle of Our Lady, this plant has extraordinary hormonal properties: in infusion, it helps women to overcome their difficulties (painful menstruation, pre-menopause, etc.) and men to regain their virility.
From the Middle Ages , it is said that the alchemists collected every morning the dew which accumulated on the leaves of lady's mantle in order to use this "heavenly water" in the manufacture of the elixir of youth.
Intrigued by this plant which was intuitively revealed to him one good morning, the creator of MAISON FLAMEL Samer Zakharia commissioned his agronomist
to study the lady's mantle in depth.
The lady's mantle is a plant with many virtues for the skin
It contains 5 times more vitamin C than a lemon,
lightening action.< br/>It is healing and soothing, for reactive skin.
It is astringent and purifying, for problem skin.
It is anti- age and antioxidant, in particular thanks to its concentration in flavonoids (including luteolin and quercetin) and tannins (including gallic acid).
It has many other uses in infusion or ointment against ulcers, constipation, various cancers (prostate, cervix…), obesity, diabetes…
MAISON FLAMEL Research has had natural active ingredients based on lady's mantle since 2019: maceration of the dried leaves in vegetable oils (black cumin, jojoba), extracts (hydroglycerines)
of lady's mantle. The water in our products (lotions, serums, creams) has been replaced by an infusion of lady's mantle.
In 2022, MAISON FLAMEL presents its first patented ingredients based on lady's mantle.

MAISON FLAMEL obtains its organic lady's mantle from a picker who picks the plants by hand in the Alps, in the right season. The fresh plants are then sent to our laboratory to extract our active ingredients.
